Boomer opens a business (Why you need a bookkeeper)

Boomer decided to start a security business protecting homes from the squirrel army. He created an LLC and named it Boomer Squirrel Security LLC. He then created a website and advertised on Yelp and LinkedIn and was able to get ten clients in his neighbor to sign up. He charged twenty scooby snacks per customer (He can guard several houses at one time from his perch atop the table on his deck.). He got so busy that he hired two other dogs in the neighbor so they could watch over more houses.

The business went so well, that Boomer needed to build a shed to hold all the scooby snacks. Boomer didn't know if he could afford the new building. Should he try to get a bank loan or does he have enough scooby snacks in the bank to cover the costs.

Boomer had not been tracking any of his costs or revenues because he was too busy growing his company. He decided to contact Codex Bookkeeping Services for help. The owner, Linda, was very friendly and knowledgeable. She said that she could set up his chart of accounts on QuickBooks and get the past six months of activity entered into the system for a reasonable price. Linda also offered to enter all activity on a timely basis, so that Boomer would have a better idea of the business' financial status. The monthly fee that they negotiated was fair and very budget friendly, although Linda did ask to be paid in cash instead of scooby snacks.

After Linda had all the back activity entered in the system, she gave Boomer a set of financial statements that helped him to determine whether to finance the shed or pay in scooby snacks. He ultimately decided to finance the shed, and Boomer Squirrel Security continues to succeed and grow. There hasn't been a single squirrel attack since Boomer started his new company!

If you are like Boomer and are too busy to keep up with tracking expenses and revenue, contact Linda the Bookkeeper and let her make your work life a little easier. You can reach her at linda.cavanaugh@codexbookkeepingservices.com or at her website www.codexbookkeepingservices.com.
